Something a Bit Different...
Normally, I post about books that people should read. Today, however, I figure I shall write about books that you do NOT want to read. Trust me, generally these books are awfull. I will put down both the book and the author, so things will be clear.
1. The Old Man And the Sea by Ernest Hemingway. Totally evil. Avoid at all costs. Boring. Extremely dull. And teachers love to aply meaning to the entire thing.
2. In fact, it's just best to dodge Hemingway altogether. While I haven't read The Sun Also Rises, or For Whom the Bell Tolls, I have been forced to read Hemingway's short stories, or some of them. They are still boring.
3. A River Runs Through It, by Norman Maclean. Once again, boring. It's about Fly Fishing, and supposedly life. All I know is that it's boring.
4. The Secret Garden To boring for words. The movie is good, the book is evil. Simple, no?
5. The Pearl by Steinbeck. The baby's head gets shot off. Need I say more?

Pish tush. The Secret Garden is a wonderful book, in its own way. I prefer it to the movie, actually....
The Secret Garden is fabulous, mon cherie. Not all authors are talented enough to incorporate fantasy in their literature. :)
Sheesh, I didn't know I had fans of The Secret Garden in my posters! I personally don't like it because it's too discriptive, making it boring. Love the movie, hate the book.

Ohhhh Ernest Hemingway! I read A Clean, Well-lighted Place and hated it. The problem is he's trying to make a picture-story, coming from nowhere and going nowhere, just one instant... That's how someone in one of Jack London's short stories described a picture. Anyway, it struck me that most modern short stories are like that... now me, I write fairy tales. And that's what I read, too.

terible! terible! thats a wonderful book! and I like it better than the movie, becaus the movie is weird. realy. and I just don't see how any one can object to The Secret Garden.
